Here are
a few of the projects currently being pursued by the National
Multifamily Speakers Alliance. Once you have joined, you may choose a project to
become involved in and share YOUR expertise.
Companies with innovations,
new products, services, new technology data and current trend research
can feature them here at MultifamilySpeakers.com
in ready-to-use PowerPoint slides. Speakers will have 24/7 access to
compliment training with the most current innovative resources. I know
many speakers are dedicated to reporting current trends and product updates.
This will give both the companies and the speakers an effective platform.
Below you will find PowerPoint Slides from the products and services
currently in the spotlight!
One of our key projects is establishing our
Certification program. Anne Sadovsky,
a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), certified by The National Speakers
Association (NSA), has graciously
agreed to lead this committee. Anne will be working with some of the
more experienced speakers to create a qualification plan for membership
review and adoption. We have created a beautiful round seal to be used
by those qualified to receive the Certified National Multifamily Speaker
certification to exhibit demonstrating the highest standard of excellence.
Although we would like to think that every event will go off without
a hitch, occasionally catastrophic events DO occur. It has been suggested
that
we create a volunteer group who will fill in for a speaker who has a
medical or family emergency. This would be an exchange service so that
if you fill in for someone, you then have an exchange “banked” for
your future use. We will need to monitor this and create a system of
rules. We need someone to investigate and create a plan for membership
review. Thoughts to consider….
-
This exchange will become an added “assurance” to the client
that we will back each other up and they will be guaranteed a quality
speaker for their event. This has been done in the past, however, the
NMSA allows us to formalize and create a system for implementation.
- This will be optional in the NMSA Contract.
- Agree to participate in the exchange once a year, when
dates are available.

One of the key roles of this organization is to assist the Apprentices with
guidelines, tools and forms to develop the “next generation
of industry experts”.
If you remember how you got started and who helped, hopefully there is a list
of speakers who offered you guidance. We need to create a formal NMSA program
that would include NMSA Apprentice Guidelines and specific instructions to
accomplish this goal.
Brenda McClain has offered to lead this team to investigate and create a plan
for membership review. Please send your ideas to BrendaHMcClain@aol.com.
MEGs are groups of “special interest” within the NMSA membership.
The purpose of these groups is to provide Apprentice opportunities for
the general membership. MEGs provide members the opportunity to learn
and grow in their specialty area. The following is a list of proposed
MEG topics:
• Business Coaching
• Educators
• Humor
• Sales Experts
• Consultants
• Facilitators
• Seminar/Workshop Leaders
• Writers/Publishers
• Keynote
• Motivational
• Marketing
• Technology
• Distance learning / Webinars
Many people have shown interest in learning
from each other and hosting other speakers to present programs for improving
our marketing, presentation
skills and business administration.
Please let us know what subjects and topics that would be
of interest for our Workshop outline.
“Who NMSA is and what NMSA becomes is completely determined
