Why Form the National Multifamily Speakers Alliance? In the past, anyone who wished to become a corporate trainer, independent speaker or consultant was literally “on their own”. Rules, policies, procedures, guidelines and practices were based on their experience and best judgment. Many unnecessary mistakes were made and the education of the new speaker / consultant was often left in the hands of the employer, meeting planner or client. Many of our members have personally mentored and coached others as an informal act of generosity. The word alliance means: “A close association of nations or other groups, formed to advance common interests or causes”. Therefore, our Alliance will offer and manage best practices, opportunities for group insurance, emergency exchange services, templates for common forms, synergistic marketing and other benefits for our Professional Speaker, Corporate Trainer and Professional Consultant group members. With this new Alliance, we will create a formal Apprentice program with guidelines, tools and best practices. Educators, speakers, trainers and consultants will have a forum to network, and to develop and improve their skills. We will adhere to a code of ethics for business practices and dedicate ourselves to improving industry standards. The National Multifamily Speakers Alliance is
not an association or union and we will never discuss fees; our purpose
is
to create positive
change in the creation and delivery of multifamily education programs.
We have formed together to advance our common interest in providing the
highest quality of advice and education to the multifamily industry and
improving the industry’s standard of excellence. Who Does the National Multifamily Speakers Alliance Serve? Second, the NMSA serves the speakers and consultants by creating a forum for their shared leaning, advanced training and improved skills. Educational event will provide educational, social and business networking opportunities. The apprentice and corporate trainer will have an opportunity to learn from the top established industry experts. Mentoring, education, workshops and networking opportunities will give new educators a place to learn valuable lessons, thus removing meeting planners and multifamily firms from the mentoring role.
